Here are 7 easy steps to get you started:

Step 1: Register with Berekete.com

Register as a shopper on Berekete.com by creating a profile. If you simply wish to browse the site, subscribe to newsletters and add items to your basket but not to checkout immediately then you can complete our quick registration process by simply entering your name, email address and password.

However, if you wish to purchase products, we require a little more information about you so you will need to tick the box to complete the registration process. We'll need a contact number, delivery address and billing address in order to complete the full registration process.

If you choose the quick registration option you can complete these details at any time by clicking on "My profile" and then on "Update my Berekete.com profile details". You will also be prompted to complete your profile during the checkout process. You can also update any of your details at any time simply by clicking on "My profile"

To complete the registration process, simply agree to Berekete.com's terms and conditions by ticking the box and click on "Save".

Should you wish to register a company profile on Berekete.com, simply click on Register as a new customer and select company profile or simply click here. Fill out all the necessary details on the company especially the required fields and sign up. You will then be able to browse Berekete.com and make purchases.

Note:
VAT All prices quoted on Berekete.com include VAT, where applicable. This rate is charged at 5% on all goods bought by Nigerian residents. The subtotal for all your purchases as displayed in your basket includes VAT. A breakdown of VAT and delivery charges will appear on the checkout page.

Step 2: Sign up for newsletters

If you would like to subscribe to our newsletters to be updated on our fantastic promotions and offers you can personalise your profile by checking the newsletters you are interested in. Click on "Save" when you're done.

Step 3: Browse site

Once you've registered your profile and signed in, start browsing Berekete.com. Use the navigation bars (top and left toolbars) or simply search the product you'd like to buy. With millions of products in the book, music, DVDs, games and electronics, shops you'll be sure to spoil your family and friends for every occasion on the calendar. Make sure you take note of the delivery times of your products before you add them to your basket. Start now by clicking here.

Step 4: Add to basket

Found the products you want to buy? Click on Add to basket. Check all product details on the product page like the colour, quantity and size of the product as well as the delivery times. Once you're certain of the product, add it to your basket. You can add as many products as you'd like because your basket stores all the products that you've chosen whilst shopping online.  You can click on your basket to view or edit the products or product quantities in it.

My basket

Your basket contains all the products you have selected to buy.

Your basket can contain any combination of products available for purchase on Berekete.com.

You can choose to send items from the same order to different addresses. Note that a delivery charge is calculated for each parcel and not for the entire order.

If you need to add a new delivery address whilst in your basket, you will be redirected to your address book. Once you've added your new address and clicked on save, you will be redirected back to your basket page.

- Delivery time is calculated according to the parcel item with the longest delivery time. This simply means that each parcel in your order has its own delivery time and the entire order will only be complete when all parcels have been invoiced.
- You will need to place multiple orders for item quantities over 500. This simply means that you may place an order for 100 products with quantities of 5 for each product to total the basket limit of 500.

Step 5: Check out

1. My basket

To enter the checkout, click on the "To checkout" button when you’re in your basket.
Wow! You're almost complete with the shopping process. Now that you've chosen all your fantastic products, be sure to check the items in your basket as well as all the product information.


When you're happy with your product selection, select a delivery address for your parcel. If you'd like to add a new address, click on the "Add new address" button and you will be redirected to your address book page where you must fill in the details. Once you've completed adding your new address, click on apply and you will be redirected back to your basket. On your basket page, you may now select the new address from the drop down to include the delivery address of your parcel. Click on ‘proceed' if you are ready to complete the payment process.

Before you checkout, take note of the delivery cost, time, methods and restrictions. Here is some useful information on these details:

Delivery Cost (Standard rate)

You will be charged NGN 2400 per order when the sum of the items weight in the order is less than 4 kgs. Thereafter the system will automatically calculate the delivery charge as follows.

5kg - NGN 3100
6kg - NGN 3700
7kg - NGN 4600
8kg - NGN 5600
9kg - NGN 6600
10kg - NGN 7800

If the parcel is 10kgs and over, you will be charged NGN 900 for each kg over 10kg.

Delivery Times

Products at Berekete.com can be delivered from 7 to 24 days, please check the individual delivery times for each product you add to your basket.

Note:
- Delivery time is calculated according to the parcel item with the longest delivery time. This simply means that each parcel in your order has its own delivery time and the entire order will only be complete when all parcels have been invoiced.
- You will need to place multiple orders for item quantities over 500. This simply means that you may place an order for 100 products with quantities of 5 for each product to total the basket limit of 500.

Delivery Methods & Restrictions

Door-to-door (8am-5pm, Monday - Friday) – Parcels delivered by courier between 8am and 5pm, Monday - Friday. Submit a street address and select door-to-door as your delivery method when you reach checkout.

No delivery via post office is offered.

2. Order summary & Payment

A complete order summary will display with all details of your order. Please ensure that all information, including your delivery details is correct. At this stage you may include a personalized message if one of your parcels is a gift delivery. For more information, click here. If you’re happy with your order summary choose one of our easy payment options which include, bank deposit. Don’t forget to read the terms and conditions and click on pay now. An order confirmation email will be sent to you.

- Paying by Webpay Direct by Interswitch is easy

Paying by Webpay Direct by Interswitch is easy. Go ahead and place your items in your basket and when you reach the point where you must pay, simply select the "Pay by Webpay Direct by Interswitch” option. You will then be redirected to the Interswitch site so that you can complete the transaction. On successful completion of this process, a personal confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. Pay your billed amount by making an electronic fund transfer (EFT), or by making a direct deposit into kalahari's account. For more information on Webpay Direct by Interswitch, click here.

Note: You'll have to pay within 5 working days to avoid your order from being cancelled. We'll start processing your order as soon as we receive your payment.

- Bank Deposits or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Paying by bank deposit or electronic funds transfer (EFT) is easy. Go ahead and place your items in your basket and when you reach the point where you must pay, simply select the "Pay by Bank Deposit or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)" option. The following details are printed here for your convenience; they will also appear on your Bank Deposit pages, as well as a personal confirmation e-mail will be sent to you.

Tips for when paying:

1.You have to quote your order number and surname as reference to ensure we know who the money is from - this way we can allocate the payment to your order

2.You'll have to pay within 5 working days to avoid your order from being cancelled. We'll start processing your order as soon as we receive your payment.

3.Delivery dates: If the product's delivery time is 6 working days, we count this from when we receive your payment. Note that the total delivery time of your parcel is determined by the basket item with the longest delivery time.

4.If you have paid via bank deposit it can take between 2-5 working days before the money reflects on our system.

3. Order confirmation

Congratulations, you've successfully completed shopping online. Your order number will display on the information screen and you will receive an order confirmation shortly via the email address that is associated with your Berekete.com profile. Take note of the parcel numbers that are listed in the email as you will need to quote it to track your parcels or should you need to contact customer support.

Tip:

Please note that your delivery time is calculated according to the parcel item with the longest delivery time. This simply means that each parcel in your order has its own delivery time and the entire order will only be complete when all parcels have been invoiced.

Safety Tip: Remember to sign out if you’re using an internet terminal or group terminal.

Step 6: Track your order

If you’d like to track your order, simply contact our customer support centre on 234 807416 3355 or email us. Don’t forget to quote your order number as reference.

Step 7: View orders / My orders

You can view the details of any parcels you have placed by clicking on my orders.

Every order is referenced by an order number and every parcel within your order (if multple parcels have been dispatched) has its own parcel reference.

To view uncompleted orders, click on "Show uncompleted". Alternatively you can search for an order using the order number, parcel number or by selecting a date range.

Once you have clicked through on an order, you will see all your parcels as well as all the information pertaining to each one, e.g. discounts, vouchers, credit applied.

You will also have access to information pertaining to whether a voucher was used on a particular parcel. If parcels have already been dispatched, you can confirm the date of delivery, or view an estimated date of arrival.

Our Guarantee on Returns & Replacements

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 14 days of receipt:

If we supply the wrong product or if the product is in any way faulty or damaged, we will exchange it for the correct one. We will make a reasonable effort to exchange the product, but if replacement is not possible, we will refund your purchase price including delivery costs.

Special offers: If Berekete.com supplies the wrong product or if the product is in any way faulty or damaged, Berekete.com will exchange it for the correct one. However, if the product is no longer being offered at the special price, it will not be replaced and Berekete.com will refund the purchase price including delivery costs.

If you are not satisfied with your choice and the product is still in mint condition, you may return it and we will refund you the purchase price (excluding delivery costs).

Note that once opened, the following types of goods will not be accepted for a refund and will only be replaced with another copy of the same product: CDs, Videos, DVDs, Computer software and Hewlett Packard consumables.

All refunded amounts will, by default, be allocated to your profile for future use. Contact customer support for any additional options

Do it Yourself

Sign in

You will need to sign in, to access your Berekete.com profile and start shopping online, edit your details or simply check your wishlists. Sign in by entering your email address and password.

Forgotten your password?

Click here and enter the email address associated with your profile under the "Forgot your password" section. Click on the continue button and a reset password will be emailed to you shortly. Once you've received your reset password, you may log in using your email address and the new password you received. If you'd like to change your password to a personal one after logging in then click here.

Request password reminder:
If you’ve reset your password, you will receive an email with these new password details. Please wait to receive this email, before requesting multiple password reminders. Please note that if you request multiple password reminders, each email will display a new reset password. Change your password

If you would like to review or change your password, that is associated with your Berekete.com profile, you will have to sign in using the email address and password associated with your current profile. Click the change your password link. Here, you will be able to change your secret password without having to contact us.

My profile

Your profile contains all your personal details including your email address, delivery address, telephone number and password. You can edit all this information by clicking "Update my Berekete.com profile details"

If you have created a company profile, you may also edit this information. You can also change your profile from a personal to a company profile and vice versa. Please note that we require additional information for a company profile.

- You may now change your company profile to a personal profile. If you'd like to change your profile click here.

Edit delivery information

Simply go to my orders and click on the order number. Select from the drop down of saved delivery addresses or edit the existing address. You may add a new address but note that this address cannot be saved to your address book. If you would like to add it to your address book you can do so by going to your address book and simply add the new address.

Cancel product or order

When you cancel an order you will be reimbursed according to your method of payment:

  • Bank deposit - If you have used one of these payment options and we cannot fulfill part/full your order or you request the order to be cancelled; a credit will automatically be issued on your Berekete.com profile. If you would prefer a refund to your bank or Webpay Direct by Interswitch account, please contact the customer support team and they will arrange the rest.

Ordering Online

1. The ordering process

To start ordering on Berekete.com you need to register with Berekete.com. If you haven't registered click here to start now. Once you've registered and signed in, you can add products to your basket by browsing the site, shops, or search for a specific product and simply checkout by choosing one of the four easy payment options.

Tips:

Take note of the delivery time as the order item with the longest delivery time determines your parcel's delivery time.

Check that you have the correct delivery address.

Read the Terms and Conditions properly.

2. Forthcoming products

If you are interested in purchasing a product that's forthcoming, simply add it to your wishlist. We will then notify you via emails when the product becomes available to purchase.

3. Viewing & changing orders

You can view the details of any orders you have placed by clicking on my orders. If orders have already been dispatched, you can confirm the date of delivery, or view an estimated date of arrival.

Tip: If you have made any changes to orders that have not entered the delivery process, these changes may affect the estimated delivery date for your order.

Note: You may also retrieve your invoice by clicking on the my orders page. To view your invoice, you must have Adobe 8 or 9 installed on your computer. Companies can print a duplicate copy to claim VAT.

4. Checking your order status

There are various statuses that apply to your entire order during the delivery process. These statuses are listed below which are distinguished between an entire order status and per product statuses:

Entire order status:

Awaiting payment – your order has been placed on hold as we are awaiting confirmation of payment. If you have paid via bank deposit or Webpay Direct by Interswitch it can take between 2-5 working days before the money reflects on our system.

New order – this simply means that we have received your payment.

Being processed – we have placed your order with our suppliers. Kindly check the status per product.

Cancelled – your order has been cancelled and an email will be sent to the email address associated with your Berekete.com profile.

Ready to pack – all items are in the Berekete.com warehouse and ready to be packed.

Dispatched – your order has been collected and is on its way to you.

Per product status:

Ordered from supplier – we have placed your order with our suppliers and will receive confirmation shortly.

New order – this simply means that we have received your payment.

Cancelled – this product has been cancelled from your order and an email was sent to the email address associated with your Berekete.com profile.

Item(s) Received – item has been received from the supplier.

Ready to pack – all items are in the Berekete.com warehouse and ready to be packed.

Dispatched – your order has been collected and is on its way to you.
